Role Overview

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is responsible for defining and executing Virgil HealthCare Platforms’ marketing, branding, and go-to-market strategy across domestic and international markets.

This role requires a senior leader with a deep understanding of diagnostic solutions, healthcare buying behavior, and regulated MedTech markets, capable of building trust-driven brands, demand engines, and partner ecosystems.

The CMO will report to and work closely with the Founder-CEO, Sales, Product, Regulatory, and Clinical teams to position Virgil as a credible, differentiated, and scalable diagnostic solutions provider.

Key Responsibilities

1.⁠⁠ Brand Strategy & Market Positioning

  • Define and own the brand strategy and positioning for Virgil HealthCare Platforms.
  • Establish a consistent brand narrative aligned with clinical credibility, quality, and innovation.
  • Ensure all messaging reflects regulatory sensitivity and healthcare trust standards.
  • Strengthen Virgil’s reputation with laboratories, hospitals, MedTech partners, and investors.

2.⁠⁠ Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy

  • Design and execute go-to-market strategies for diagnostic solutions across segments and geographies.
  • Partner with Sales to define target customer segments, value propositions, and pricing narratives.
  • Support product launches from pilot to commercial scale.
  • Enable channel, distributor, and strategic partner marketing programs.

3.⁠⁠ Demand Generation & Growth Marketing

  • Build scalable lead generation and pipeline acceleration programs.
  • Drive inbound and outbound marketing across digital, events, partnerships, and industry platforms.
  • Track and optimize marketing ROI, CAC, pipeline contribution, and conversion metrics.
  • Support account-based marketing for enterprise and institutional customers.

4. ⁠⁠Product Marketing & Enablement

  • Translate complex diagnostic and technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
  • Develop product messaging, pitch decks, case studies, and sales enablement tools.
  • Work closely with Product and Clinical teams to ensure accurate, compliant communication.
  • Support customer education and adoption initiatives.

5.⁠⁠ Regulatory-Aware Marketing & Communications

  • Ensure all marketing materials comply with healthcare regulations, claims standards, and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory and Quality teams to validate messaging.
  • Establish internal review processes for marketing compliance and approvals.

6.⁠⁠ Thought Leadership & Industry Presence

  • Build Virgil’s presence as a thought leader in diagnostics and MedTech.
  • Lead content strategies including whitepapers, webinars, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Strengthen relationships with KOLs, labs, hospitals, and ecosystem partners.
  • Drive PR, media relations, and analyst engagement where relevant.

7.⁠⁠ Marketing Organization & Capability Building

  • Build and lead a high-performing marketing team.
  • Define roles, capabilities, KPIs, and agency partnerships.
  • Establish scalable marketing processes, tools, and governance.

8. ⁠⁠Investor & Strategic Communications

  • Support fundraising, investor communications, and strategic narratives.
  • Contribute to pitch decks, growth stories, and market expansion plans.
  • Act as a brand ambassador in Board and investor interactions.
Qualifications & Experience

Must Have

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing leadership, preferably in MedTech, diagnostics, healthcare, or regulated industries.
  • Proven experience building and scaling B2B healthcare or diagnostic brands.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare buying cycles, institutional sales, and trust-led marketing.
  • Experience supporting product launches and market expansion.

Preferred

  • Experience with diagnostic solutions, laboratory systems, or medical devices.
  • Exposure to global markets and distributor-led models.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, claims compliance, and ethical marketing standards.
  • Experience working with VC-backed or high-growth companies.
