Role Overview

The Information Technology Manager is responsible for managing and securing the internal IT infrastructure, systems, networks, and enterprise applications that support Virgil HealthCare Platforms’ diagnostic operations, R&D, manufacturing, and corporate functions.

This role ensures high system availability, data security, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity in a regulated MedTech environment. The IT Manager works closely with the CTO, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Finance teams to enable secure and scalable business operations.

Key Responsibilities

1.⁠⁠ IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage day-to-day IT operations, including servers, networks, endpoints, and enterprise systems.
  • Oversee on-prem and cloud infrastructure, ensuring uptime, performance, and scalability.
  • Administer enterprise tools such as ERP, CRM, document management, and collaboration platforms.
  • Manage IT vendors, service providers, and system integrators.

2.⁠⁠ Cybersecurity & Data Protection

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies, controls, and monitoring.
  • Ensure protection of sensitive healthcare, diagnostic, and business data.
  • Manage access controls, user provisioning, identity management, and endpoint security.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, audits, and remediation activities.

3.⁠⁠ Compliance, Quality & Audit Support

  • Ensure IT systems comply with ISO 13485, data integrity requirements, and applicable healthcare standards.
  • Support computer system validation (CSV) and audit readiness.
  • Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, logs, and change management records.
  • Collaborate with Quality and Regulatory teams during internal and external audits.

4. ⁠⁠Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

  • Design and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Conduct periodic DR drills and system recovery tests.
  • Ensure minimal downtime and data loss in case of system failures or cyber incidents.

5.⁠⁠ User Support & Service Delivery

  • Lead IT helpdesk and user support functions.
  • Ensure timely resolution of IT issues across R&D, manufacturing, labs, and corporate teams.
  • Train employees on IT systems, security awareness, and best practices.

6.⁠⁠ IT Planning & Cost Management

  • Develop and manage the IT budget in alignment with business needs.
  • Optimize IT spend while ensuring reliability and compliance.
  • Plan and execute IT upgrades, migrations, and system improvements.

7.⁠⁠ Collaboration with Product & Engineering Teams

  • Support engineering teams with development, testing, and deployment environments.
  • Manage CI/CD infrastructure, repositories, and access controls where applicable.
  • Ensure segregation between development, test, and production environments as per compliance needs.
Qualifications & Experience

Must Have

  • 7–12 years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations management.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, diagnostics, MedTech, or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of networks, servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and  enterprise IT systems.
  • Hands-on experience with IT audits, compliance, and system documentation.

Preferred

  • Exposure to ISO 13485, ISO 27001, HIPAA-like controls, or data integrity frameworks.
  • Experience supporting R&D, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and hybrid setups.
  • Certifications such as ITIL, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, CISSP, or equivalent.
